Fabric of Life
About our Series partnership
Synchronicity Earth is working with Canopy Planet and The Sustainable Angle to produce content for each of the Series events, as well as connecting with associated events to produce a diverse, creative and immersive programme. We will be presenting the funding proposition as well as connecting participants to a range of campaigns and organisations. This will include ongoing reporting of the impact of funding and progress on key initiatives and continued engagement with participants beyond the Series.
Synchronicity Earth aims to be a different kind of conservation organisation. We act to address overlooked and underfunded conservation challenges for globally threatened species and ecosystems. We are research driven, raising and distributing donor funding to the conservation sector. To increase the impact of this funding, we develop programmes, collaborating with others to coordinate action. We are in this for the long haul – we know the changes we want to see will not happen overnight and so we develop lasting relationships with our partners and encourage donors to move beyond short-term project cycles.
We want to help create a global network of conservation allies. The work we do helps to bring about meaningful change for endangered species and vulnerable ecosystems and has a positive impact on the livelihoods of often marginalised communities. Conservation depends on people, but should benefit all life. Through our partners we work in areas where there is an urgent need for conservation action, developing programmes which make a difference to species, habitats and local people.
Canopy Planet works with the forest industry’s biggest customers and their suppliers to develop business solutions that protect endangered forests. They have been working to mobilize key businesses across the fashion supply chain, assisting progressive and conscientious businesses to develop sound purchasing policies and supporting innovations aimed at bringing about the seismic shift that is needed.
The Sustainable Angle
The Sustainable Angle is a not for profit organisation, initiating and supporting projects which contribute to minimizing the environmental impact of the fashion industry and society. It launched the Future Fabrics Expo in 2011: a curated showcase of sustainably produced textiles for fashion, accompanied by background information on sustainability in fashion, including seminars and workshops. It facilitates access to innovative sustainable textiles, as well as delivering educational materials to the fashion sector, universities and students.
The Environmental Funders Network
The Environmental Funders Network is a UK-based network of foundations, family offices and individual donors supporting environmental causes. Their aim is to increase the amount of financial support for environmental causes and to improve its overall effectiveness.
